About the Workshop

The purpose of the training workshop is to give participating educators an opportunity to share and exchange information and ideas about their programming efforts. In addition, participants will engage in the following workshop activities that support language acquisition and development that support meeting standards.

Participant Outcomes

Participants will:

  • Observe instruction in a Native Language immersion school and tour facilities
  • Learn how an immersion school is created and operated
  • Share and learn from each other in networking sessions and small groups

Target Audience

  • Native American language teachers or instructors
  • Tribal Education Department staff
  • Tribal Language Division staff

Registration, Fees, and Schedule

There are no fees to attend this workshop, but pre-registration is required.  The grant will cover travel and meal reimbursement.
